Winter is coming and it’s time to stay warm in style.

Bohemian Rhapsody

I’ve been talking a lot about monochrome dressing on the blog. I love it for it’s chic simplicity. Style and warmth do not have to be mutually exclusive, especially with monochrome dressing; it’s so easy to layer and look luxurious. The best thing about tone on tone dressing is the flexibility it gives me for accessories. I could dress these suede leggings and this minimal silk tunic a million ways, but right now I’m crushing on a Bohemian feeling for the holidays and beyond.

High Style In Luxe Fabrics

Big and chunky cuffs and collars is how this gray shearling gets its to die for drama. The body of the coat is soft and slender which makes for a long silhouette and the Turquoise is timeless. I’ve had this belt for eons. I treated myself to it after an epic 200 mile twenty-one day country ski trip across the Grand Teton National Park in Wyoming- that was before kids and I had the time to literally take off into the wilderness- but back to style….. I’ve added to my collection of turquoise jewelry ever since then with flea market finds and bags in a blue tones to compliment the blues found in turquoise. When you think of accessories to build in your closet, think beyond the requisite brown and black, or silver and gold and open your pallet up to burgundy and blue too.

Keep your eye on the little details in unexpected fabrics like this silk tunic with a raw edge. Leather leggings and silk tunics is one of the chicest ways to wear the dress over pants trend this season. What’s yours?
